Norbury Hill Cubs is a family run nursery which began as a Childminding business in 2009. Our basic ethos is to provide all children with a ‘home from home’ in which they can express themselves freely and learn about the world around them in a secure, friendly and beautiful environment. We take inspiration from the theories of Montessori, Steiner and Reggio Emilia; intertwining ideas of early inde

pendence with the goals of the EYFS. All members of staff continuously strive for brilliance in the care and nourishment of young minds. We are a Lead Community Childcare and Early Learning Hub, which means that we work with other settings in South London to raise the quality of early years provisions.

And we’re celebrating double because we’ve ALSO just received yet another Five Star Food Hygiene Rating! 🌟👨‍🍳

Ten hour shift done team NHC STILL gave everything. 💪✨

Tonight our incredible team stayed behind for professional development with Sak our Strategic Wellbeing Lead because that’s just who they are. 🙌

Small Moments, Serious Practice — how the everyday routines we almost overlook are actually where the magic happens. Mealtimes. Nappy changes. Transitions. Every single one is a teaching moment, a connection moment, a safeguarding moment.

These aren’t just our staff. They’re our dream team. And tonight proved it all over again. 💚

Thanks to Sak for leading such a thoughtful, engaging session and to every single one of our practitioners who showed up fully.

🌟 Bright and early, Team NHC are back at it this Saturday morning! 🌟

This morning our wonderful team gathered at the nursery to complete our annual Paediatric First Aid training with the brilliant Paul Bermingham - what a team 💪

As many of you will know, paediatric first aid certification is required once every three years, but here at NHC we believe that when it comes to the safety of your little ones, once a year is simply best practice. Our children deserve nothing less than a team who are confident, competent, and always ready to act. 🏥❤️

From CPR to choking, emergency response to managing injuries our staff are trained, refreshed, and ready. The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care will always come first. 🧒👶

A huge thank you to Paul for delivering such an engaging and thorough session and to every single member of Team NHC for giving up their Saturday. You are the heart of this nursery. 🤍

🚌✨ BUS DRIVERS REPORTING FOR DUTY! ✨🚌
Today was the stuff that childhood dreams are made of! 🌟
A real, iconic London double-decker pulled up outside NHC this morning and it was PRICELESS. 🥹❤️
As part of our Transport theme, our tiny explorers got to climb aboard, put on their bus driver hats and live their biggest dreams — because at NHC, we don’t just talk about the world, we bring it to our door! 🌍
A huge, heartfelt thank you to 🙌 for making this happen — and an extra special shoutout to our wonderful nursery mum for organising this magical experience for our community. You are a STAR! ⭐

We are absolutely over the moon to have been named one of the Top 20 Rated Nurseries in London by .co.uk — and honestly? This belongs to every single one of you.

This award is voted for entirely by PARENTS. Every review, every kind word, every bit of trust you place in us every single day made this happen. 18 years of love, dedication and community — and this is the result. 🥹❤️

We celebrated with our incredible team today (pizza, chicken and chips — they chose well! 🍕🍗) but the real celebration has to include our families...

📚✨ World Book Day at Norbury Hill Cubs! ✨📚
What an absolutely magical day! Our incredible staff and children dressed up in their finest bookish costumes, the sun was shining, and we were joined by the most wonderful parents and grandparents who came in to share the gift of reading. 🌞
Stories were told, imaginations soared, and little hearts fell deeper in love with books. This is what early years education is all about — nurturing a lifelong love of literacy, one page at a time. 🐛📖
A huge thank you to every family who made the effort to come in and read with us today. You made it truly special. 💛
🎉 AND — every adult who came in to read to our children today will be receiving a special NHC Book Token as a thank you for taking part! 📖🏅

We're looking for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you must genuinely love working with babies, toddlers and pres-schoolers.

You'll be:
✅ Level 3 qualified (full and relevant)
✅ Experienced with under 2s
✅ Paediatric First Aid certified (or happy to get it)
✅ The kind of person who notices when a child is having a moment before anyone else does
✅ Reliable, warm, funny (optional but honestly a bonus)
