DAN has 250 members from various organisations in the UK but all involved in providing independent advocacy for people who have difficulty or are unable to speak up for themselves. Advocates supports those people to have their voice heard, access services, defend their rights and protect against discrimination and abuse. DAN specifically focuses on people with dementia who may need the support of advocates.
