🚜👀 Can you help identify who caused damage to a tractor?

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage to a tractor in the Hunton, Bedale area.

📹 It is reported that damage was caused to the tractor whilst on display at the Hunton Steam Gathering, in Hunton on Saturday 12th September 2026 at around 1700hrs
Damage has been caused to a Red Case International 444 Tractor, where it has been reported that bolts have been loosen deliberately

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seen suspicious activity in the area, or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage to come forward.

🔎 We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information that could assist the investigation.

Catterick Neighbourhood Policing Team make a commitment to working with our partner agencies to focus on issues that matter most to the community. As well as our regularly scheduled neighbourhood policing drop-in events, details of which can be found on our website, we also host a monthly drop-in session with key partner agencies. Previous events this year have included with Broadacres Housing, and Horizons North Yorkshire. September's joint drop-in event will be with Crimestoppers. Crimestoppers is an independent UK charity that lets people share information about crime completely anonymously. If you want to come along and learn about how their reporting works and the services they provide, or have a question for either Crimestoppers or your local policing team, then details are as below:

We're investigating the theft of an orange Hyundai lawnmower from an outbuilding on Colburn Lane, Colburn Village.
The lawnmower has been taken between 15th August and 4th September. Photo of the lawnmower below is almost identical but with orange wheel caps.
If you've seen a lawnmower matching the description, have any information which may assist, or have noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area during this period, please get in touch with us quoting incident number 12260173803

We would also ask residents to remain vigilant and ensure outbuildings, garages and sheds are securely locked, particularly when not in use.

If you are offered a lawnmower for sale which appears to match the description, please do not purchase it and contact police with any relevant information.

📣 Hambleton and Richmondshire – We Need Your Voice!

I’m really pleased to share that North Yorkshire Police are looking for new members to join our Independent Advisory Groups within Hambleton and Richmondshire (IAGs).

IAG members play a vital role in shaping local policing by offering honest feedback, sharing community perspectives, and helping us better understand the issues that matter to you.
We’re looking for people from all backgrounds, experiences and communities across Hambleton and Richmond.
We will also have guest speakers attending from different departments within North Yorkshire Police, along with partner agencies we work closely alongside.

You don’t need any special qualifications, the only requirement is being able to receive, send emails and join our on-line meetings which will occur quarterly.

👥Our next meeting will be held on Thursday 10th September 2026 at 1800-1930hours.

It's that time of the year again... 🗓️ 👇

As a lot of our local schools go back to school next week, you may be out and about this weekend doing some last minute shopping. Whilst you're there, why not pop in to see us at Tesco? PCSO 5725 Coburn will be hosting a 'Back To School' drop in event at Tesco where she will be on hand to talk to parents and young people in our community about anything that may be concerning you. Whether that's parking at school times, antisocial behaviour, or even just a general query you have for us, feel free to come along and have a chat.
