'For me, becoming a dietitian was born from first being a patient to one myself.'

🎉 Celebrating with the words of real dietitians who make a difference.

'After experiencing my own challenges with food and navigating the overwhelming world of nutrition misinformation as a teenager and young adult, I was inspired to join the profession working to hold the hands of others who were walking the same path as I once did.

While many people see dietitians as professionals who simply talk about food, to me, it’s about helping people rebuild confidence, develop grace and compassion for themselves, and feel empowered in all aspects of their health.

Whether working in clinical care, or in my current policy and media roles, I have had the privilege of supporting people in exactly that way. This is why I love being a dietitian, and why I always will.' 💙

Words from Amber Woodhouse, registered dietitian.
