A special moment as His Majesty The King, our Royal Founding Patron, met the Pakistan Men’s Test Cricket Team at Clarence House today.

Cricket holds a special place in the story of the British Asian Trust. In 2007, His Majesty King Charles (then The Prince of Wales) brought together the India and Pakistan cricket teams in Glasgow for the Future Friendship Cup, an event that led to the founding of the British Asian Trust.

Nearly 20 years on, it was wonderful to see our Trustees Asif Rangoonwala CBE and Aatif Hassan present to mark this occasion.

This South Asian Heritage Month , we celebrate the power of unity in diversity.
Nearly 20 years ago, The British Asian Trust was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that by bringing together the South Asian diaspora around a shared purpose, we could achieve more together than we ever could alone.

Since then, leaders, partners, supporters and communities have come together to help reach more than 18.8 million people across South Asia.

Today, that same spirit of collaboration and collective responsibility continues to bring together people from different backgrounds, sectors and experiences, united by a shared commitment to creating lasting change.
This month is a celebration not only of our heritage and identity, but of what becomes possible when communities come together with purpose.

We’re honoured to receive the “A Decade of Contribution to Social Impact” award from the India Global Forum

This recognition reflects more than a decade of working alongside our partners,supporters, governments, businesses and communities to tackle some of India’s most pressing social challenges.

Together, we’ve reached over 18.8 million people across South Asia and in India through programmes transforming education, improving livelihoods, protecting children and conserving nature.
