🌈🀝 "This term, Year 9 students are studying a unit called Prisoners of Geography, exploring the challenges that different people face in having their human rights upheld and respected. This week, we have been learning about the struggles that LGBTQ+ people face around the world and how their dignity and rights can be compromised. This learning is particularly relevant during the month of June, when our school recognises Pride Month and reflects on the ongoing challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. Through discussion and critical thinking, students have been developing their understanding of equality, respect and human rights." ~ Mr Cooper

πŸ“šπŸ•°οΈ "Year 9 English students have been stepping back in time as part of their study of 'An Inspector Calls'! Using real photographs from 1912 sourced from Vogue and The National Archives, students explored what life was really like in Britain in 1912 compared to 1945. These powerful images helped bring Priestley's world to life and deepen their understanding of the play's themes and context. A fantastic way to connect history and literature!" ~ Ms Milojkovic

πŸŽ“πŸ”¬ "Yesterday, a group of Year 12 girls had the exciting opportunity to visit University College London and take part in a STEM conference. The day included inspiring lectures from Professors of Physics, Maths, and the Built Environment, as well as a tour of the Archaeology labs. Students thoroughly enjoyed learning about the courses on offer and discovering how multidisciplinary subjects can bring together their interests, alongside hearing about the many opportunities UCL provides for Sixth Form students!" ~ Ms Vincent
