Walthamstow Toy Library and Play Centre We run play sessions, led by experienced play workers, with plenty of toys and books, and activities such as messy play, music makers and physical fun.

Join us at the Langthorne Park Festival this Saturday, 13 June, from 1pm–6pm for an afternoon packed with family fun, community spirit and entertainment for all ages!

Our cooking sessions are some of the most popular activities we run, and it's easy to see why!

Every week, children get hands-on in the kitchen, helping to create a healthy snack or meal while learning new skills, building confidence and having lots of fun along the way.

From chopping and mixing to tasting and sharing, there's something for everyone to enjoy, whatever their age.

We know how much families love these sessions, so why not come along and see what's on the menu this week?

📢 We've listened to your feedback!

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our recent survey. We were privileged to work with the management consultancy Teneo to better understand what our members need from Walthamstow Toy Library.

One of the key messages we heard was that our afternoon session times could work better for families. As a result, we're making a change!

🕝 From this week, our Tuesday and Friday afternoon sessions in Walthamstow will run from 2.30pm–4.00pm.

We're also delighted to announce that Multiples & Mates is back this Friday at the new later time. 🎉

We hope these changes make it easier for more families to join us, and we can't wait to welcome you back.

We're excited to welcome you back for outdoor play, exploration and adventure. 🌳🛝

Please see the session timetable for opening times.

A quick note for families: we have a number of private parties booked that were arranged months ago. Please keep an eye on our social media channels and listen out during sessions for any updates to playground availability.

📅 Saturday 13th June - no session
The whole Walthamstow Toy Library team will be at the Langthorne Park Festival next Saturday supporting the Leytonstone team, so no Adventure Play. Do come along to the festival and say hello if you're there. Leytonstone Toy Library will be open for play.

⭐️ Cost:

£8 for the first child, £4 for additional children.
For low income families £3 for first child, £1 for additional children.
Membership fees apply.

🚀 Discovery Day is Tomorrow! 🚀

Join us on Saturday 30th May from 10am–1pm at our Somers Road site for a fun-filled family day and the big reveal of our Adventure Playground and SEND Toy Library! 🌳🛝✨ Massive thanks to .e17.furniture for sponsoring our event.

We did a little test run at today's play session and the feedback was incredible — so much so that Helen, our CEO, nearly cried! 😂 It has truly been a labour of love, and we can't wait for you to see it.

As well as exploring the Adventure Playground, there will be plenty of fun to enjoy:

Everyone is welcome — there's no need to be a Toy Library member to attend. Of course, we hope you'll love what you see and want to join our wonderful Toy Library community afterwards! 💛

This is also a fundraising event for the Toy Library, so every ticket purchased, raffle entry and stall visit helps us continue supporting local children and families. 💛

Please note:
🚗 There will be no parking available in the car park tomorrow.
If you're driving, please use the Sainsbury's car park or 17&Central and walk over.
