During their first Art lesson, Carle Class have been learning all about the colour wheel. They explored how different colours are created, how colours relate to one another, and how they can be combined to create new colours through mixing. The children really enjoyed experimenting with colours and developing their understanding of colour theory.

Well the wait is over! We can now announce we have a fully refurbished pond in our outdoor learning area, proudly paid for by our Parkside Fundraising Association, refurbished by Neil at Lotties Aquatics. We can’t wait for it to grow and flourish, helping nature and bringing lots of mini beasts and life to the pond, ready for the children to take a look at what happens in the pond during the different seasons. We are very grateful to the PFA and we know the children will be too. Other activities that happened during the holiday: we have a lovely refreshed and painted school hall, 5 classrooms have had new carpet and 4 new water fountains have been fitted in the playground.

Hot off the press! Our Year 6 Prom photos are here! ✨🎉

What an incredible evening it was! Not only was it a fantastic celebration, but it also marked the final event for our Year 6 children and the last official photos we will take of them as Parkside pupils.

Everyone looked absolutely amazing. The evening was filled with dancing, delicious food, a beautiful grazing table, a fun photo booth and plenty of refreshments. In true Miss Warriner style, she grabbed the microphone and soon had everyone up on the dance floor! Then, just before parents and carers were welcomed in, Mrs Cousins led everyone in a conga around the school – a tradition that has become a much-loved part of our Year 6 prom.

Miss Batley danced with the children, Mr McMillan kept the refreshments flowing, and Mr Neave was even lifted into the air by the children to huge cheers and laughter!

Watching our Year 6 children celebrate together was a real privilege. We supervised with enormous pride, reflecting on how much they have grown and achieved during their time at Parkside. We hope they leave with wonderful memories that will stay with them for years to come and that they will always look back on their time here with great fondness.

To all of our Year 6 children, thank you for being such a special part of the Parkside family. We wish you every happiness, every success and the very best of luck as you begin your next adventure. Once Parkside, always Parkside. ❤️

Class Parties and Toy Day have been a fantastic way to round off the school year! We hope the children have learnt so much and will go home with lots of wonderful memories and exciting stories to share about everything they have been up to at Parkside this year.

We are incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved this year. It has been a joy to watch them grow in confidence, develop new skills, and, most importantly, enjoy their learning and time with their friends. Seeing their smiles and enthusiasm every day has made the year truly special.

We have only 20 planters available, so they'll be sold on a first come, first served basis.

All money raised will go towards buying new toys for lunchtime play, helping to make playtimes even more fun for our children.
