There are a few slots left to join the Greener and Cleaner team at this year's London Marathon on April 27th (Sunday) from 7am to 12 noon.
If you would like to join us encouraging the runners, sorting recycling (plastic bottles, packaged food, clothes and trainers) for rehomig or recycling do sign up on this link asap. I need to know before Good Friday if you want to join us.

It is a great atmosphere and a nice way to contribute to a huge event whilst keeping the race as green as possible.
We will also get to cheer on the lovely Holly Brown who is running for the charity and to chat about green activities across Greenwich and Bromley.
Volunteers must be 18 or over.

How do you feel about Thames water and their treatment of our local water supplies? Is it acceptable that they allow sewage discharge and degradation of the infrastructure whilst paying shareholders dividends? If you see this before 5pm Friday 16th August you can let OFWAT know how you feel about them keeping their license.

Ofwat does! It is consulting on plans to accept Thames Water’s proposals for a “turnaround plan” instead of fining them £250 MILLION for breaking the terms of their licence.

If you have street trees near you can give them a drink? Trees need around 10litres of water in hot weather (May to September) while they establish roots. If you can give them a soaking to help them through their first 2 years after planting far more will survive.
It will repay you by providing shade, lowering the temperature and cleaning the air.
Early morning and late evening are the best times but water will always be appreciated.

This effect is caused by particles from the sun interacting with the magnetic field around the earth. Alterations in our magnetic field may be one of the prettier side effects of climate change change.

This was a lot of fun. Merlin bird Id app (recommend on Greener & Cleaner) helping me listen to the birds nd work out what they are when I can’t see them. Lovely bird song to start the day. We don’t actually have pheasant, whilst the app is pretty good the neighbours dog and my family singing apparently are a good match though.
