🇨🇾🇬🇧 HELP US SHAPE OUR 2027 CULTURAL SEASON
Cypriot culture does not belong to a single place. It lives in artists’ studios, theatres, cinemas, concert halls, libraries, museums, schools and community spaces. It travels through people, memories and stories—and it continues to find new audiences across the United Kingdom.
Our Open Call for CYPRUS 2027 – THE TRACES WE CARRY is now live.
Under the interconnected strands of Routes, Traces and Horizons, we are looking for creative proposals that explore Cyprus through journeys and migration, memory and heritage, contemporary identity and new artistic possibilities.
We welcome ideas from individual artists, performers, writers, filmmakers, musicians, dancers, curators, educators, researchers, creative practitioners, organisations and collaborative groups.
Proposals can come from across the arts and may include performances, screenings, exhibitions, talks, readings, workshops, installations or interdisciplinary encounters. We are especially interested in focused projects that can complement our wider programme and build meaningful relationships with audiences.
We would also love to hear ideas that:
🌍 reach communities beyond London;
🤝 encourage collaboration between Cyprus and the UK;
🎭 introduce audiences to contemporary Cypriot creativity;
📚 engage young people, students or diaspora schools;
💬 create space for exchange, participation and conversation.
All proposed actions must take place in the United Kingdom during 2027 and connect meaningfully with Cyprus, its people, heritage, history or contemporary cultural life.
Interested applicants should first email [email protected] to arrange a short online meeting. You do not need to send a complete application before this conversation—we would simply like to hear about the idea you are considering and discuss its connection with the season.
📅 The deadline for completed applications is 25 September 2026.
Please get in touch as soon as possible, as there is only a short period available for the initial conversations and the preparation of applications.
Let us discover together the routes that brought us here, the traces we continue to carry and the horizons still waiting to be imagined.
