Coming out in the British Army was one of the scariest things I've ever done, and I've skydived out of 300 planes...!🙈

What I found however was absolute acceptance, support and some respectful curiosity.

It's hard to believe I'm now a married mother of two, and I will always be grateful that my story happened at a time when the military was learning and growing. I can never say enough thanks to those who came before and paved the way.🙏🏼

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband!❤️

Another year goes by and I watch how our relationship shifts in the chaos of life. 🙃

Sometimes I look back in amazement at how far we have come and I know 2025 was a hard year in many ways, but I will always remember all the amazing moments we had, and nothing has brought me as much joy as seeing you being the most phenomenal Dad to our kids.

Thank you for all that you do for us, we love you and Happy Birthday! ❤️🎂🎉

As most parents will know, kids don't need a fancy hotel or laid on entertainment, all they need is the people they love and lots of uninterrupted attention.😊

Nerja, our little slice of heaven 45mins from Malaga, never fails to deliver. Hot days, warm nights, beautiful beaches, friendly people and some lovely restaurants. Absolutely all you could ask for.

Happy kids and happy wife, most definitely make a happy life! 🙏🏼

We've been experiencing high levels of online hate the last few months, following the Supreme Court ruling and subsequent discriminatory EHRC interim guidance.

The bigots are emboldened, and the comments we're seeing are now dripping with arrogance, loathing and vitriol.

This is what happens when judges and transphobes and biased politicians accept and elevate the hate spewed by minority groups that only seek to hurt us.

I don't feel safe taking my daughters to a public toilet anymore, in case I am verbally abused or attacked. How awful that a mother, any mother, trying to raise her children should have been made to feel this way.

I know older trans women who are living in fear, young trans girls who are terrified, trans men and non-binary people who are worried.

This is what happens when the people who run the country, a country I proudly served for 10 years, fail to protect one of our most vulnerable minorities.

Please, keep writing to your MPs.
Keep speaking out for us. Let's reverse this hate and show them that we deserve better than this. ❤️

I've been quiet on here lately because life has been a lot, but also because I've been focusing on our two beautiful babies, on our family, and on trying to stay positive.

But that has not been easy. The position that we have been put in by people who are happy to see us struggle and suffer, because of an entirely manufactured 'threat' that we quite simply don't pose, has impacted every trans person I know.

Those people just want to live quiet, happy, safe and productive lives, away from the bigotry and prejudice of our 'equalities' watchdog and our government.

Life is already exhausting, for EVERYONE, without having to fight constant lies, fear mongering and discrimination.

To our trans siblings-stay strong out there. Find your family, your people, and take comfort in them.

To our allies, please, please speak out. Write to your MP. Have those difficult conversations with your leadership at work. Tell them that you support trans people and do not want to see them become 2nd class citizens and social exiles. 🙏🏼

We've been receiving so many messages from trans young people and their parents in the last year, all asking for help to get through this almost impossible time.

We know that right now the outlook is bleak, both here and in the US, and that a lot of us are having days when we feel hopeless.

What we can tell you however is that there are more of us out there fighting. More brave young people finding their voice and standing up for their rights. More parents hearing and supporting their kids. More allies proud to take our side.

I didn't transition until my mid twenties. I spent nearly 25 years hiding who I was, scared and ashamed. Now, I live proudly as the woman I've always known myself to be. I got there, and you will too.

There is hope. We have a fight on our hands, but we must all stand together and fight ALL bigotry and hate. Only then will we win.

Let's band together and stand together. United.❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

10 years today since I was outed on the front page of the Sun.

I’d love to say media coverage of trans people has improved in the last decade but sadly that isn’t the case.

It also comes at a time where transgender servicemen and women in the US could be about to lose their careers and livelihoods.

That front cover blew my life apart, and I struggled with the unwanted exposure and public scrutiny that it brought.

I was lucky that the piece was, essentially, positive, and that it didn’t break me or ruin my career. Since then I have left the Army, fallen in love, got married and had two beautiful kids. Again, I was lucky.

Don’t let them get you down and NEVER let them define you.

Motherhood was more than I could have ever imagined, prepared for or hoped for. Exhausting. Exhilarating. Magical. Unparalleled. Awesome.

We have so many friends about to have their first child right now and a part of me envies them the wonder of holding their baby for the first time. The first feed, sleep, bath, smile. And then I remember....🙃

Sleepless nights aside (which still happen even at 2 and 4!), I will always be grateful that my first ever date told me on our first ever phone call that we would be having kids. Thanks ❤️

And thanks to the hero who made it all possible, our Laura.🙏🏼
