🌳🌿 Great news for Redbridge!

Redbridge Council has been awarded Β£375,270 from the Mayor of London's Green Roots Fund to support an ambitious tree planting programme across the borough.

Over the next two years, more than 1,000 new trees will be planted to help create greener streets and neighbourhoods, improve air quality, support biodiversity, reduce urban heat and help manage surface water flood risk.

πŸ’š Residents can follow the project's progress, explore planting plans and discover opportunities to get involved on our new Tree Planting Project webpage https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/our-streets/attractive-streets/tree-planting/

πŸ“ You can also view potential tree planting locations, currently highlighted in pink, on the Community Tree Portal https://trees.redbridge.gov.uk/Trees/Map

β™» Did you know? Clean aluminium foil CAN be recycled!

Before putting aluminium foil in your recycling, make sure it's clean and free from food residue. Then simply scrunch it into a ball before placing it in your recycling bin. This helps it be sorted correctly at the recycling facility.

πŸ’š Every recyclable item rescued from the rubbish bin helps save valuable resources and supports a greener borough.

πŸ€” Not sure what can and can't go in your recycling bin? Find out more on our website: https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/bins-waste-and-recycling/recycling-collection/
