Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park formed the centrepiece of the inspirational London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It is now providing jobs, attracting investment and helping improve sports facilities and housing in east London, as well as becoming a major visitor attraction. The Park is free to visit every day of the week! It’s home to the London Stadium, the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the London Aquat

ics Centre, the Copper Box Arena, Lee Valley VeloPark and Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre – as well as parklands, waterways, playgrounds and cafes. There’s always something new to explore – so come along and experience sports, events and iconic venues, or just relax and take in the views. 💃 Dancing City, part of Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, is here! 💃

Visit today from 1-6pm for free and unticketed dance performances around Stratford Waterfront and Tessa Jowell Boulevard.

With a West Ham United FC home match taking place at London Stadium today, travel routes around Stratford will be busier than usual, especially between 2-3pm and 5-6pm. If you're heading to Dancing City during these times, make sure to follow the recommended route to avoid the crowds.

🚀 Who’s ready for the grand finale of The Music is Black Festival’s live weekends?

The fourth and final FREE live weekend is coming in HOT! Black to the Future lands at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 12–13 September, bringing the summer series of outdoor celebrations to a spectacular close. 🔥

Expect a genre-bending celebration of artists and creatives pushing boundaries and expanding what contemporary Black music and culture can sound and feel like, curated by FLOHIO and The Blues Project.

And there’s more! 👀

The Dance Floor is Black is back with Soul System: Afrofuture Funk club night with Danielle Rhimes Lecointe.

Head to The Yard Theatre on 13 September for a free day of Black British music. Expect talks from Richie Brave, Elijah and Janet Kay, plus DJ sets in the courtyard before the party spills next door as Colour Factory London opens the terrace.

And this Thursday, 27 August, KG takes over the decks in partnership with BBC Music Introducing as part of the BBC’s The Music is Black season.

Heading to The Music is Black Festival from East Bank on Saturday 22 August for Q***r Frequencies?

🚆 We recommend travelling via Stratford International Station to avoid the crowds around London Stadium, as West Ham fans will be arriving between 2–3pm and leaving the stadium between 5–6pm.

It’s just a 10–15 minute walk to the festival, with our friendly Park Champions in pink along the route to point you in the right direction.

Arriving at Stratford Station? Walk through Westfield to Stratford International and then follow this route!
