We had lots of productive conversations, and are already following up on issues raised around over-crowding, anti-social behaviour, and repairs.

𝗣𝗗𝗛𝗨 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 🔔

As a member of the Pimlico District Heating Undertaking (PDHU) Task Group, I have received a bundle of documents spanning 1,000s of pages. The information includes:

1) Documents provided to the Residents’ Technical Working Group, Residents’ Working Group, Tenant Forum.

2) Technical and financial assessments from external consultants.

3) The Council’s approach to managing financial decision-making and the Government’s guidance on appraising major projects.

4) The Council’s communications and engagement with residents.

5) Reports to the Council’s Cabinet and Policy Scrutiny Committees.

6) The Council’s policy on leaseholder major works charges.

For everyone connected to the PDHU, the future of heating and hot water involves serious technical, financial, and legal considerations.

As your Councillor, I approach this colossal task with humility - recognising that there are no easy or obvious answers. Over the coming weeks, I will be working through this evidence in detail.

Whether the solution ultimately lies in individual boilers or a modern communal system, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Today we assisted residents concerned about housing, the placement of street signs, and accessing NHS services.

These trips create lasting memories, help build friendships, and ensure our young people have access to enriching experiences they might not otherwise have.

SW1IC organised a fantastic day trip to Bournemouth for Pimlico residents — enabling people to enjoy the coast together🍦

I was proud to support the trip with Ward Budget funding. Projects like this show the real difference community funding can make.
