🦕 THESE FOOTPRINTS ARE 150 MILLION YEARS OLD

Discovered in France in 2009, this 155-metre trail is one of the longest dinosaur trackways ever found.

Scientists believe it was made by a giant sauropod up to 35 metres (115 ft) long. The landmark study confirming its significance was published in 2017.

Imagine finding footprints that have been waiting 150 million years to be seen.

THE INCAS BUILT THIS ON A CLIFF

These steep stone steps lead up Huayna Picchu, the towering mountain that rises behind Machu Picchu in Peru.

Built centuries ago by the Incas, the staircase clings to the mountainside with sheer drops beside it. Some sections are so steep that visitors often use both their hands and feet to climb safely.

Despite its nickname, “the Stairs of Death,” the route is not officially called that and thousands of people complete the climb every year. Still, it remains one of the most dramatic ancient pathways ever constructed.

Would you climb it?
