Dear SCNC Members,

On behalf of the Southern Cameroons National Council (SCNC) UK Executives, I wish to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication, sacrifices, and continued commitment to our shared cause. Your resilience, support, and collective efforts remain the foundation of our strength as a movement.

As we approach our 2026 Independence Day commemoration, it is imperative that we continue to stand together in unity and solidarity, demonstrating the determination and resilience that define us as a people.

Please be reminded that our meetings are held quarterly, and this upcoming gathering marks our Third Quarterly General Meeting of 2026. This is a particularly important meeting as we prepare collectively for the 1st October Independence Day commemoration and demonstration.

6th June 1992 – The day La République’s colonial terror began its brutal assault on Ambazonia. That day must forever stand as a day of mourning, but also as a day of remembrance and resolve. We mourn our fallen, but we also open our eyes to the truth: La République has never brought us peace, justice, or freedom—only occupation, bloodshed, and suppression of our identity. MY PEOPLE SUFFER BECAUSE THEY LIKE THEIR IDENTITY

As a Southern Cameroonian, I have lived through a reality that has shaped my understanding of justice, freedom, and the importance of human dignity. For decades, the people of the North West and South West regions were pushed to the margins, our distinct Anglophone identity, legal traditions, and educational heritage systematically eroded. When we gathered peacefully to demand recognition and a return to the federal structure that once honoured our difference, the response was a violent refusal to hear us. It was this denial of our voice that gave birth to the struggle for Ambazonia, a cry for self-determination rooted in a history of dispossession and cultural survival.

The conflict that has engulfed our homeland has brought immense and unrelenting suffering. Our communities have become the terrain upon which a devastating war is fought. Many houses have been burned and destroyed, leaving families without shelter and forcing them to flee for their lives. My own home was among those lost, a painful experience that has marked me forever. The loss of a home in this struggle is not simply the loss of a building; it is the loss of security, the erosion of belonging, and the shattering of the place where memories were nurtured across generations.

Today, the dangers we face as a people are profound and constant. Many remain internally displaced, hiding in forests or crammed into unfamiliar towns, unable to return to our ancestral villages because the land we love has become a place of unbearable risk. There is the ever-present fear of being caught in operations, of being harmed or losing loved ones, of seeing children orphaned and futures stolen. The violence of the war has taken on a life of its own, with many armed actors and unknown gunmen operating in the chaos, making it impossible to know who to trust. Families have been separated, livelihoods built over generations have been swept away, and entire communities stand as ghostly reminders of what once was. We live with the daily terror of stray bullets, of being accused, of simply disappearing without trace.

Behind every burned house is a family whose story has been violently interrupted. Behind every displaced person is a narrative of profound loss, deep resilience, and a stubborn hope that refuses to die. Despite these unimaginable hardships, many Southern Cameroonians continue to dream of a future where our land, which we call Ambazonia, is no longer a battlefield. We dream of returning home without fear, of rebuilding our lives, and of living with the dignity and security that has been so cruelly taken from us.

Until that day of peace and restoration comes, I will continue to speak about the suffering endured by my people. I will bear witness to the homes that have been lost, including my own, and give voice to the deep and abiding desire of Southern Cameroonians to live in peace, dignity, and freedom in our homeland.

UNITING FOR A STRONGER FUTURE: THE IMPORTANCE OF DIALOGUE AND UNDERSTANDING WITHIN THE AMBAZONIAN STRUGGLE

As members of the Southern Cameroonian community, we share a common history, a unique Anglo-Saxon heritage, and a deep, aching concern for the future of our homeland, Ambazonia. Wherever we are in the world, the weight of this struggle rests on our shoulders. Yet it is in moments like these—when factions clash, strategies differ, and patience wears thin—that the strength of our people matters most.

A stronger future for Ambazonia begins not only on the battlefields or in diplomatic halls, but in how we relate to one another here in the diaspora and back home. Dialogue and understanding are not signs of betrayal or softness. They are the very foundations of any liberation movement that seeks to build, heal, and ultimately govern.

We know the factions well: those who believe only the gun will bring freedom; those who insist on peaceful protests and international diplomacy; the home-based fighters and refugees; the seasoned leaders of the SCNC and the younger generation of activists; those who support interim governments and those who reject them. We also know the pain—the accusations of sellout, the suspicions of infiltration, the grief of lost loved ones, and the exhaustion of years without resolution.

But here is the truth we must hold close: disagreement does not equal disloyalty.

When we take the time to listen—even to voices that make us angry or afraid—we create space for ideas to be tested, refined, and united around a common purpose: the restoration of our self-determination.

In our living rooms, WhatsApp groups, churches, community meetings, and online spaces, we have the opportunity to model the kind of respect and strategic patience we wish to see in our homeland. Let us name what divides us honestly, but let us refuse to let it destroy us.

For our children growing up in the diaspora—many of whom speak English with British accents but carry Ambazonian blood—this matters even more. They are watching how we, as parents, elders, and community members, handle internal conflict. If they see us calling each other traitors or cowards, they will learn that division is our inheritance. But if they see us arguing with dignity, disagreeing without dehumanising, and always returning to our shared goal—Ambazonia free and at peace—they will carry that spirit forward into the future we are building for them.

SCNC UK and other Ambazonian platforms have always given us a space to stay informed and connected. Let us now use those platforms for something harder: constructive conversations across faction lines. Let us share information responsibly. Let us challenge rumours with evidence. And let us remind ourselves, daily, that our ultimate goal is the same: a future where our people can live in peace, dignity, and self-determination—whether they carry a gun, a petition, or a refugee card.

Healing and progress do not happen overnight. But every respectful conversation, every act of listening across a divide, and every decision to prioritise Ambazonia’s survival over factional pride moves us one step closer.

Let us commit, as a Southern Cameroonian community in the UK and beyond, to keep our dialogue open, our tone respectful, and our focus on what unites us: the liberation of our land and the wellbeing of our people.

In doing so, we build not only a stronger diaspora, but a stronger, more united resistance—and a foundation for the Ambazonia we all hope to see.

THE PAIN OF A SOUTHERN CAMEROONIAN
Behind these pictures lay pain, survival, courage, and resilience. When I look at Jennifer ForeChesiri, I see a girl who once lived in constant, suffocating fear—the trauma of detention, the shock of violence, the agony of losing her sense of safety, and the devastation of watching her entire life change forever. Her crime? She spoke up for what she believed in as an Anglophone Cameroonian. And for that, she was systematically punished, as a warning to us all.

She demonstrated extraordinary courage during our SCNC demonstration this year. As we gathered at Westminster and before the Commonwealth Secretariat to commemorate Commonwealth Day, Jennifer stepped forward and told her story to the whole world. She refused to let her voice be buried by the terror she had endured, even when it was painfully difficult. There were moments she genuinely thought fear would silence her forever. But on that day, standing in the heart of London, she found the strength not only to speak for herself, but for the countless other Southern Cameroonians whose stories may never be heard.

Let me be clear: what happened to Jennifer is not an isolated tragedy. It is a systematic punishment levied on any Southern Cameroonian who dares to speak out against the government of La République du Cameroun. The persecution she faced is a deliberate, calculated weapon of silence. They want us afraid. They want us broken. They want us to believe that if we raise our voices, we will pay the price she paid.

But here stands Jennifer ForeChesiri as living proof that survival is possible, and that truth can break through walls of oppression. If you are a Southern Cameroonian—whether in the diaspora or back home—who has endured similar treatment, Jennifer's courage is an invitation. Do not let your suffering remain hidden in the shadows. Come forward. Tell the world your story. Their power relies on our silence, and every testimony strips that power away. This is bigger than politics; it is about human lives, freedom, dignity, and the brutal reality so many from Southern Cameroons continue to face. Let our collective truth be the weapon they cannot defeat.

EMERGENCY PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SCNC UK
Subject: The Great Deception: Recognizing the Enemy Within and the Battle for the Narrative

Fellow Southern Cameroonians, Sons and Daughters of Ambazonia,

In 2016, our collective voice rose as one. The unity we displayed shocked La Republique du Cameroun to its core. They did not expect to see a people so resolute, so determined to reclaim their dignity and birthright. Seeing our strength, they knew they could not defeat us in a fair fight.

So, they changed their tactics. They moved from open confrontation to a strategy of diabolical sabotage.

Listen carefully, my people. When the Biya regime discovered they could not break our spirit, they decided to infiltrate our sacred struggle. Their plan is as evil as it is cunning: They are recruiting and funding militia—mercenaries and criminals—tasked with one mission: to commit heinous atrocities while wearing the mask of Ambazonian liberation.

You have heard the disturbing reports. You have seen the videos where armed men, after looting, kidnapping, or killing innocent civilians, shamelessly declare, "We be pikin them for General so and so." Do not be deceived! These are not our fighters. These are agents of La Republique, wolves in sheep's clothing. Their goal is singular: to paint our liberation struggle as evil, to turn the hearts of the very people we are trying to free against us. They want you to see every fighter as a monster. They want you to hate the struggle so much that you beg La Republique to stay.

But that is not all. The battlefield has expanded into our pockets and our screens.

La Republique has also deployed a new regiment: social media warriors. These are paid agents who sit behind fake profiles, infiltrating our online communities with one purpose—to spread discouragement, division, and despair. They comment on our posts, sowing seeds of doubt. They amplify every mistake, every tragedy, not to mourn with us, but to weaponize our pain against the struggle.

We have seen how some of the most disturbing videos of these staged atrocities or manipulated events are obtained first-hand by known propagandists. Individuals like "My Countryman" (Kinda Titus) and "My Countryman Junior" (Mbamba head Clovis) are primary examples of this machinery. They work tirelessly to gather content that paints Ambazonia in the worst possible light, feeding it to the world to turn our own people against the cause. They are not journalists; they are instruments of a propaganda war designed to break our will.

To Our Beloved People Who Are Hurting:

We see you. We hear you. And we sincerely feel your pain.

We understand the mothers and fathers who have lost children to the crossfire. We understand the families displaced from their villages. We understand why, when you see a gunman, you see only a threat. We understand why, when you witness atrocity after atrocity, your heart grows cold toward the struggle. We do not judge you for your pain. We mourn with you.

This is precisely why this sensitization is a matter of life and death.

The enemy knows that a hurting and angry population is easier to manipulate. If they can make you believe that every armed Ambazonian is a killer, then you will reject the struggle entirely. If they can make you believe that independence will only bring more suffering, then you will accept occupation as the lesser evil. This is their trap.

Hear this truth clearly: Our genuine fighters, the Amba Boys and Girls who took up arms for the freedom of our homeland, are now fighting a war on three fronts.

First, they face the heavily armed La Republique army.
Second, they face these La Republique-funded militias—these impostors—who operate from within our communities, destroying our reputation and killing our own.
Third, they face a relentless propaganda war designed to strip them of the very support they need to survive.

This makes their job extremely difficult. It is a treacherous path they walk, not just for themselves, but for every one of us.

To the Entire Ambazonian Population:

Our genuine fighters need you now more than ever before. They need your discernment. They need your courage. Do not let the actions of a few agents provocateurs poison your heart against the cause of our liberation.

· Do not be an "Anglofool." Open your eyes. Question everything. If you see atrocities, ask yourself: "Who truly benefits from this act of evil?" The answer is always the same: La Republique.
· Be critical of what you see online. When you encounter videos and comments designed to discourage you, recognize them for what they are—weapons of war. Do not share propaganda. Do not amplify the enemy's message.
· Separate the liberator from the infiltrator. Support the genuine struggle. Protect the reputation of our fight. If you have information about these militia impostors, find safe ways to expose them. We must clean our own house.

We must remain resilient. We must remain courageous. The road is hard, but the prize—a free and prosperous Ambazonia—is worth every sacrifice. Let us not do the enemy's work for them by turning on each other.

Today, we ask you to stand firm. We ask you to pray for our boys and girls in the bushes who are fighting the real fight. They are protecting our dream.

Long live the struggle for the total liberation of the Southern Cameroons!
Long life to the people of Ambazonia!
And to the struggle itself, may it be short, so that our freedom may be long!
