StAR has amassed a number of preloved bulk bags that are surplus to requirements. Would anyone like any?

We currently have 6 available but will be sorting out more. NB storage box not included.

A voluntary donation to help us support local and overseas refugees would be gratefully appreciated.

StAR trustees, Farhat and Liz L were very pleased to be invited to FACE's (Faith and Culture Enterprise) interfaith gathering, Unity in Diversity.
It was a very rewarding and thought-provoking evening sharing thoughts and ideas, and hearing first-hand experiences of local refugees who are welcomed into our city of sanctuary.

UPDATE: subject to collection, these have now all been taken. Thank you all for your interest. We will update you if anything changes.

Due to downsizing the number of garages we are using StAR has five of these shelving units to dispose of. We would welcome a donation of £20 per unit and they would need to be collected from Tudor Road in St Albans.

Please send us a private message if you are interested.

🎄✨ StAR’s Christmas advert has officially landed!

We know we can’t compete with the big retailers — especially Waitrose, who’ve treated us to a whole mini romcom starring Keira Knightley and Joe Wilkinson. Lovely stuff… but tragically outside our price range. 😅

Meanwhile at StAR HQ, our “big-budget casting” consists of still photos of extremely cute pets. No movement, no special effects — just pure, unfiltered adorableness doing the heavy emotional lifting. ❤️

What we do have is a small team with big hearts, doing our very best with the little we’ve got to support asylum seekers and refugees all year round.

Give our humble (but very furry) advert a watch, give us a share, and remember: the real Christmas spirit is about kindness — not camera angles. 🎁✨
