Our bus is currently delayed by a fallen tree, help is on the way to get the tree removed but this may take some time. Please wait at your bus stops as the bus will be coming but will be delayed.

⛔️🚌 Annan Road, Dumfries - Road Closure. Monday 31st August to Friday 4th September 🚌⛔️

The following services will be diverting as follows..

385.
Leaving whitesands. Into DG One, go to Morrisons round about. (Morrisons bus stop just be served) Burl round Morrisons round about and head back out to Lockerbie Road. Turn right onto Brownriggs Loaning (this will be the wrong direction to usual) back onto Annan Road then down the bypass to Tarf Roundabout and back onto Lockerbie Road, resume normal service. Vice Versa in reverse.

🚌 NEXT STOP DISPLAYS NOW BEING FITTED ACROSS OUR SERVICE VEHICLES! 🚌

We’re pleased to announce that our Next Stop Display system is now being rolled out across all of our service vehicles! 👏

This has been a big project behind the scenes, and a huge amount of work has gone into getting everything up and running.

A special shout-out to our office staff, who have worked incredibly hard behind the scenes — from getting the system set up and programmed, to testing and making sure everything is ready to go. 💻🚌

The new displays will make journeys clearer, easier and more accessible for our passengers, helping everyone know exactly where they are and what stop is coming up next.

It’s another step forward for McCalls Coaches as we continue to invest in improving our services and passenger experience. ❤️🩶

Watch this space as more of our vehicles get fitted and the system goes live!

🐎🚌 246 New Cumnock to Dumfries - Sanquhar Riding Of The Marches 🚌🐎

Tomorrow, 15th August 2026 is Sanquhar’s Riding Of The Marches. We plan on running as close to the timetable as we possibly can all day. However there will be roughly a 30 - 40 minute delay at Sanquhar at 1.42pm travelling into Dumfries due to the closure of Sanquhar High Street. This may have a knock on effect to the 3.35pm service leaving from Dumfries travelling to New Cumnock.

Please be patient as this is totally out with our control, our drivers will try there hardest to run as close to the timetable as possible but please expect delays.

⛔️🚌 503 Dumfries to Castle Douglas 🚌⛔️

There is a road closure on the 14th August 2026 between 8am until 4.30pm at Cargenbridge Roundabout. Then it is closed from 15th August 2026 at 8am to 16th August 2026 at 4.30pm. The bus does NOT have access through the road closure therefore we will be diverting from Lochfoot down the A75 to Dumfries.

This is totally out with our control, apologies for any inconvenience caused 😞.

We will not be able to service Kirkgunzeon or Beeswing during these times.
