Adventure awaits along the rewatered and restored Crinan Canal!.

After a winter of extensive engineering works, including demolition and rebuilding of embankments - we are delighted to announce that the Crinan Canal re-opens for navigation tomorrow (up to a draft of 2m for now).

We have some work to reinstate pathways and finish installation of the walkway at the Dummy Lock (our contractor will keep a safe route open so people can access the towpath). Both the towpaths at Bellanoch and Crinan will be open from tomorrow.

That we have reached this stage after so many challenges is testament to many people. It is down to the support of the local community, collaboration with our boaters and moorings customers, our contractor site teams, our local team in Crinan, and our engineering and infrastructure team.

We also have a job live for a Property and Maintenance Technician if you'd like to work with us on the canal: https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/scottishcanals/Job/JobDetail?jobid=683&isPreview=Yes&advert=external
