CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the U4109 from Cwmann, Lampeter from a point 625 metres Southwest of its junction with the A482 for approximately 170 metres in a Southerly direction.

The closure is necessary to ensure public safety while MJ Quinn carry out poling works on Tuesday, 16th June 2026, for a period of one day between 08:30 and 17:00.

The alternative route will be via the A482, the C2174 (from Esgairdawe) and the U4109 (Esgairdawe – Cwmcanol).

Pedestrian movement will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
Access will be maintained for school bus services.

This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 5 days.

The closure is necessary to ensure public safety while Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water install a new connection service from Monday, 15th June 2026, for a period of five days.

The alternative route will be via the A485, the B4337, the U4121 (from Llanybydder) and the U4140 (Pencarreg – Pantyfen).

Pedestrian movement will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.

Access will be maintained for school bus services.

Operation SNAP

is a response to increasing submissions of video and photographic evidence relating to driving offences that members of the public have witnessed. Until now, these reports have been submitted to the police in all sorts of ways and so a streamlined process has now been developed to deal with them.
