Roedd hi’n bleser croesawu myfyrwyr Blwyddyn 10 o Ysgol Bro Teifi i Ganolfan Bwyd Cymru yr wythnos hon ar gyfer gweithdy ymarferol ar ddiogelwch bwyd a HACCP 🔬
Dan arweiniad ein uwch dechnolegwr bwyd Gina, a'n technolegydd bwyd cynorthwyol Phoebe, cyflwynodd y sesiwn hanfodion diogelwch bwyd i fyfyrwyr, gan gynnwys arferion diogelwch bwyd sylfaenol, alergenau a sut mae HACCP yn cael ei ddefnyddio i nodi a rheoli peryglon posibl wrth gynhyrchu bwyd 🥼⚠️
Cynhaliwyd eu hymweliad yn ystod Wythnos Genedlaethol Gwyddor a Thechnoleg Bwyd 2026, a redodd o 1 i 7 Mehefin. Dan arweiniad Sefydliad Gwyddor a Thechnoleg Bwyd, mae'r wythnos yn dathlu arloesedd, talent ac effaith sector bwyd y DU ac yn anelu at ysbrydoli'r genhedlaeth nesaf i archwilio gyrfaoedd mewn bwyd 👩🔬👨🔬
O rolau technegol ac ansawdd i ddatblygu cynnyrch, mae yna lawer o lwybrau i'r diwydiant ac mae'n wych cefnogi pobl ifanc i ddarganfod sut olwg allai fod ar ddyfodol mewn bwyd ✅

We were delighted to welcome Year 10 students from Ysgol Bro Teifi to Food Centre Wales this week for a hands-on food safety and HACCP workshop 🔬
Led by our Senior food technologist Gina, and assistant food technologist Phoebe, the session introduced students to the fundamentals of food safety, including basic food safety practices, allergens and how HACCP is used to identify and control potential hazards in food production 🥼⚠️
Their visit took place during National Food Science and Technology Week 2026, running from 1 to 7 June. Led by the Institute of Food Science and Technology, the week celebrates the innovation, talent and impact of the UK food sector and aims to inspire the next generation to explore careers in food 👩🔬👨🔬
From technical and quality roles to product development, there are many pathways into the industry, and it is great to support young people in discovering what a future in food could look like ✅
