Student Loans Company’s page is intended as a source of information for the general public about our student finance products and repayment services. SLC’s full details, including contact details, are available from http://www.slc.co.uk/contact.aspx. In order to keep this environment open and friendly, we have established the following guidelines:
1. All users of the SLC page agree to comply with Facebook’s Terms of Service. Additionally, the opinions and content posted to our page by other users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Student Loans Company Limited.
2. Any commentary posted should be relevant and respectful to SLC and its community. SLC reserves the right to remove any content that we deem unacceptable, and to block any user who repeatedly violates these terms. Unacceptable activity includes, but is not limited to:
• Making abusive, offensive, obscene, vulgar or violent comments;
• Abusing, threatening, stalking, harassing or in any way attacking other SLC Facebook users;
• Posting any content that is derogatory toward others in regard to race/ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality or political beliefs;
• Using any language or content that is misleading, deceptive, unlawful or fraudulent;
• Trolling;
• Commercial solicitation;
• Uploading or attaching files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation or compromise the security of computers and networks; and/or
• Violations of intellectual property rights.
3. We encourage all users to take an active role in protecting their personal privacy. Publicly posting information about your student finance or online account (for example, your Customer Reference Number) can put you at risk for online predators and phishing scams. SLC will never ask for information about your personal details in an email, text or unsolicited social media message. Please report any suspected phishing attempt to our Counter Fraud Service at [email protected].
