We recently attended a b**r tasting networking event at Wild Horse Brewery, in Llandudno hosted by North Wales Business Club!

The evening included a behind-the-scenes brewery tour, a tasting flight of pints, and a delicious pizza banquet to round things off. It's always a pleasure catching up with fellow local businesses, especially with great b**r and food. 🍕🍻

Thanks to North Wales Business Club and Wild Horse Brewing Co for another brilliant evening!

Buying or selling a property involves far more than completing forms. Your conveyancer carries out detailed legal work to help ensure the transaction proceeds smoothly and your interests are protected.

This includes reviewing contracts, investigating the property's legal title, carrying out searches, raising enquiries, working with mortgage lenders, transferring funds and making sure all legal requirements are met before completion.

Good conveyancing can help identify potential issues before they become costly problems, giving you confidence that your property transaction is being handled correctly.

Whether you're buying your first home or moving house, having an experienced conveyancing solicitor by your side can make all the difference.

We’re pleased to share that Elen Pritchard and Grace Mitchell qualify as Solicitors today.

Both have worked hard throughout their training contracts, gaining experience across different departments, building strong relationships with clients and becoming valued members of the team along the way.

Grace will qualify into our Commercial Department, where she will continue to work alongside Jamie Herbert on commercial property and company work. She will also continue to assist with residential conveyancing.

Elen will qualify into our Litigation Department, where she will continue to work with Gwyndaf Pari and Branwen Sion on family and general litigation work.

Managing Partner Gwyndaf Pari said:
“Elen and Grace have worked incredibly hard during their training contracts, and we’re really pleased to see them qualify. It’s a big milestone in their careers, and they should both be very proud of what they have achieved. We’re delighted that they will be staying with the firm and continuing to build their careers with us.”

Everyone at the firm wishes Elen and Grace every success as they take this next step. We look forward to celebrating with them properly next month.

Many people assume that a spouse, partner or family member can automatically access their bank accounts, manage their finances or make important decisions on their behalf if they lose mental capacity. However, this is not the case.

If you have not put a Lasting Power of Attorney in place and you lose the ability to make decisions for yourself, your loved ones may need to apply to the Court of Protection to become a deputy.

This process can be time-consuming, more costly and gives the court the responsibility of deciding who should be appointed to make decisions on your behalf.
Putting a Lasting Power of Attorney in place while you still have capacity allows you to choose who you trust to help manage your affairs if you are unable to do so yourself.

Planning ahead can make things much easier for those closest to you when they need it most.

Many people consider giving away their home as a way of reducing the value of their estate or protecting assets for the future. However, transferring ownership of a property can have complex legal and financial consequences.

For example, if you give your property away but continue to live there, the gift may still be considered part of your estate for certain purposes. There may also be implications around inheritance tax, care fees, ownership rights and what happens if circumstances change in the future.

Making a significant gift without taking legal advice could create unexpected problems for you or your loved ones.

Careful planning can help you understand your options and make decisions that protect your interests and your family's future.
