Bydd cannoedd yn fwy o deuluoedd yng Nghymru yn gallu cael mynediad at ofal plant wedi'i ariannu diolch i fuddsoddiad o £55 miliwn a gyhoeddwyd heddiw.

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi cadarnhau buddsoddiad o £55 miliwn mewn gofal plant, gan gynnwys y broses o gyflwyno gofal plant a ariennir i fwy o blant dwy oed ledled Cymru a £10 miliwn o gyllid cyfalaf, fel rhan o'r Gyllideb Atodol Gyntaf 2026-27.

Bydd y cyllid hwn yn helpu i gyflymu'r broses o gyflwyno 12.5 awr o ofal plant a ariennir yr wythnos i bob plentyn dwy oed, a ddarperir trwy awdurdodau lleol.

Hundreds more families in Wales will be able to access funded childcare thanks to a £55 million investment announced today.

The Welsh Government has confirmed a £55 million investment in childcare, including the rollout of funded childcare to more two-year-olds across Wales and £10 million capital funding, as part of the First Supplementary Budget 2026-27.

This funding will help to accelerate the rollout of 12.5 hours of funded childcare per week to all two-year-olds, delivered through local authorities.
