Such a wonderful achievement.

A huge congratulations to Katie on her fantastic achievements at the Special Olympics! 🏊‍♀️👏
Katie came away with an incredible two silver medals and one bronze medal — a brilliant achievement and something everyone at Newtown Swimming Club can be very proud of. 🥈🥈🥉
Coach Steve also pointed out that Katie was a true “rose between two thorns” in the photo, pictured proudly between Coach Nick and Head Coach Lee! 🌹😄
Well done, Katie! Your hard work, determination and fantastic performances have done yourself and Newtown Swimming Club proud.

Lloyds Bank:

Lloyds Bank Customers can now pay in cheques to the Post Office. This service has re-opened since 1st September after its suspension some months ago.

Our Mayor, Cllr Steve Deeks-D’Silva was delighted to visit the Community Fridge this morning to see the recent improvements and changes to the service and observe the Food Share.

It was great to meet with the staff, volunteers and service users.

The Mayor presented them with a cheque for £100 to support the great work they carry out.

Well done everyone involved.

Our Mayor, Cllr Steve Deeks-D’Silva accompanied the Veterans Group on their walk this morning around Llandrindod Wells Lake.

The Veterans will be walking 126 laps of the Lake over 24 hours. The Mayor donated a cheque for £126 to add to the funds they raise.

Our Mayor, Cllr Steve Deeks-D’Silva went along to the Oasis Centre earlier today to say farewell to 2 people who have worked tirelessly for the Foodbank and Oasis Centre, providing a crucial lifeline and support to residents.

Lynne Frost, Operations Manager and Lois Burnett, a Trustee are stepping back from their roles.

They will be greatly missed.

The centre still has wonderful staff, trustees and volunteers so if you are in need of support please pop in.

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback on the work being carried out on Temple Gardens.

We are currently having work carried out to lay an all year gravel grid surface to be covered with top soil and seeded with grass. This is in the main areas of use for the park and will mean that these areas can be used for events and markets throughout the year.

This work is being funded the the Pride in Place Fund which was successful obtained by the Town Council for the sole purpose of a public realm bid.

Before anyone comments, these monies cannot be used for road, public toilets, healthcare or any other services than for a public realm bid.
