Following the Senedd election in May, and the support from people across the new constituency of Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd, we’re delighted to introduce ourselves as your two Plaid Cymru representatives in the Senedd.
The start of the new Senedd term has been busy for us both. Rebeca Phillips MS, who recently served as Councillor for Trebanos on Neath Port Talbot council, is in the process of setting up her constituency office in Powys, and we will share those details soon.

One of the focal points of the work in the Senedd is First Minister’s Questions, and Rebeca was one of the first to ask the new First Minister a question, using the opportunity to raise concerns about water pollution in the River Tawe. This is especially important now that we’re approaching the summer months when many people will want to take a dip in our rivers, lakes and seas. She gained a commitment from new First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth for these incidents to be investigated.
As one of her responsibilities in the Welsh Government, Sioned Williams will oversee the work to expand the free childcare offer in Wales – something that will help put money back into the pockets of families, and give parents the freedom to return to work if they wish.
If there is anything we can help with, please get in touch with either of us on email or via Sioned’s Neath office 01639 203204.
