🚒🔥 Noson Ymarfer gyda cadets Llanberis! 🔥🚒

Roedd neithiwr yn gyffrous ac yn addysgol yn Orsaf Dân Llanberis wrth i ni groesawu cadets Llanberis i’n noson ymarfer!

Cafodd nhw brofiad ymarferol gyda'n hoffer ac aeth ati i:

- Daflu llinyn o'n pecyn achub dŵr
- Defnyddio y ‘hose’ rîl

Roedd yn gyfle gwych i bartneru â'r unigolion ifanc brwdfrydig hyn a rhannu'r manylion o'n gwaith hanfodol. Diolch enfawr i'r cadets am eu hawydd i ddysgu a'u cyfranogiad gwych!

🚒🔥 Drill Night with Llanberis Cadets! 🔥🚒

Last night was an exciting and educational evening at the Llanberis Fire Station as we welcomed the Llanberis Cadets for our Wednesday drill night!

The cadets got hands-on experience with our equipment and had a go at:

- Line throwing from our water rescue pack
- Handling the hose reel

It was a brilliant opportunity to partner with these enthusiastic young individuals and share the ins and outs of our vital work. A huge thank you to the cadets for their eagerness to learn and their fantastic participation!

Everyone here at Llanberis Fire Station have been overwhelmed with the amount of support we have been shown during these uncertain times.

The crew would like to say a massive thank you to everyone in the community and all those who have fought with us to keep the station open.

We are so unbelievably happy with the news that all five stations that where at risk of closure are here to stay.

Over the past couple weeks the crew have been focusing on the bread and butter of being a firefighter…..BA’s (Breathing Apparatus)

During our drill nights we have been fortunate enough to attend drills at different locations working through a vast range of scenarios:

🏠Llanberis Station…. To go through all our basic BA procedures.

🏢Siemens Llanberis…. Utilising their staircase to undertake stair procedures.

🏭Llanfairfechan Station (Smoke House). To go through a BA drill recreating a building fire.

🏠And finally back at Llanberis Station for a two-pump drill with our neighbouring station Gorsaf Dân Betws y Coed Fire Station.

The weekly drill nights ensure the crew is always prepared to handle any situation 🧑‍🚒🚒👨‍🚒

Yn hwyr nos fawrth cawsom ein galw allan i dân mawr mewn ty yn ardal Llyn Gwynant.
Bu rhaid galw am gefnogaeth o gorsafoedd Gorsaf Dân Betws y Coed Fire Station, Gorsaf Dân Porthmadog Fire Station, Gorsaf Dan Caernarfon, a Gorsaf Dan Bangor / Bangor Fire Station. Diolch toedd neb wedi ei anafu ond yn anffodus roedd difrod mawr i’r adeilad.
Buom yno trwy’s nos tan 7.45 bore Mercher.

Cawsom ein galw allan 3 gwaith arall yn ystod dydd Mercher

• Standby – Gorsaf Dân Caergybi
• AFA (Automatic Fire Alarm)- Talwrm

A busy Wednesday for us at Gorsaf Dân Llanberis Fire Station
On Tuesday evening we were called out to a reported fire in the Llyn Gwynant area.
Upon arrival, we discovered that it was a well-developed house fire. We requested assistance and were joined by crews from Gorsaf Dân Betws y Coed Fire Station, Gorsaf Dân Porthmadog Fire Station, Gorsaf Dan Caernarfon, and Gorsaf Dan Bangor / Bangor Fire Station.
All the crews worked extremely hard through the night.
Thankfully the house was unoccupied but unfortunately could not be saved as it was too well developed upon discovery.
We left the incident at 07:45am Wednesday.

We were called out a further 3 times on Wednesday:

• Standby Holyhead Fire Station
• AFA Talwrm (Automatic Fire Alarm)
• Standby Bangor Fire Station

The crew got back to Llanberis Fire Station at 17:00.
Just enough time for a quick bite to eat, say hello to family and then back to the Fire Station for our weekly Drill night 18:00 – 21:00
I can assure you we all slept well that evening!..
