As we say goodbye to the warm weather our thoughts turn to the autumn and the extra challenges colder temperatures, rain and wind brings for people who are sleeping rough.

You can help by donating any unwanted trainers and boots, toiletries (particularly razors, shaving foam, shampoo) and warm clothing and underwear.

37% of the people we help are actively looking for work, but being homeless, or at risk of it, makes it much harder to secure a job and keep it.

We are grateful to Liverpool In Work for this session, helping us to get more people into work and out of homelessness.

Today we had the opportunity to deliver a session with staff at the Whitechapel Centre, introducing them to Connect to Work and the support we provide to help people find and move into employment. It was a really positive session, with great engagement from the team and some valuable conversations around how Connect to Work can support people on their journey towards work.

Ashlea, our domestic abuse lead, is currently at the European group conference for the study of deviance and social control in Vitoria-Gasteiz, northern Spain. Together with research colleagues from Liverpool John Moores University she will deliver a presentation tomorrow about our work with people experiencing homelessness and domestic abuse as well as those who are prison experienced and homeless.

Ashlea started volunteering with us during COVID while she was a student and is now sharing her knowledge and experience with others!
