What does youth work mean to you? 💬

We asked our Youth Work apprentices, and their answers say it all. Empowerment. Support. Having a voice. Advocacy.

It’s about listening to young people, standing up for them and helping them reach their potential.

And this is why growing our own qualified youth workers in Liverpool matters.❤️

The next generation of youth workers is here! 🙌

Youth work is about giving young people someone to talk to, somewhere to go, new opportunities and the confidence to believe in what they can achieve.

Today we welcomed the third cohort of Youth Works, a partnership between Liverpool City Council and the LFC Foundation that is helping grow the next generation of qualified youth workers in our city.

From learning on the job to gaining professional qualifications, apprentices are getting the experience they need to make a real difference in the lives of young people across Liverpool.

And this is just the beginning.

Welcome to Youth Works, cohort three! 💙👏

It was a chance to honour the brave men and women who made many sacrifices during both World Wars, and appreciate the UK’s modern day seafarers who are responsible for transporting most of our every day items, such as food and fuel.
