takes us to a quiet corner of Runcorn, where the expansive former ICI headquarters has been transformed into an all-in-one hub for filming. 🎥 🏙️

Spanning over 60 acres, The Heath Business and Technical Park offers production offices, unit bases and a blank canvas where productions can create their on-screen worlds.

With the ability to base entire productions on site, combined with flexible spaces, on-site workshops and 24-hour support, The Heath brings everything a crew needs together in one place.

Having hosted the likes of ITV’s 'The Tower', 'Sherwood' and adidas’ LFC Kit Launch, the team at The Heath is keen to continue cementing its place as one of the most complete filming destinations and production hubs in the Liverpool City Region.

Continuing our spotlight on local members of this year’s Women in Film and Television UK Four Nations Mentoring Scheme, we look at Hannah Robinson, a Prescot raised production development producer whose career sits at the intersection of storytelling, sport, and cutting-edge screen technology.

With experience working across the divide working as a match day producer at both Liverpool and Everton, Hannah now works in the innovation team at Media City’s dock10, producing virtual production, motion capture and more. As she continues pushing innovation at dock10, Hannah joined the programme as a way of stepping further into the screen sector, reconnecting with the creative side of film and tv and building the right connections to get her there.

A huge congratulations to .m.english on earning a well-deserved place on the ELLE Vanguard List of Women in TV & Film 2026, with her breakout work as lead director of rightly landing her amongst illustrious names likes Celia Imrie, Chloe Zhao and Jesse Buckley.

It’s a great chance to hear, in her own words, about her unique route into the screen industry, and how she seized the opportunity on G’wed to get here.

With Women in Film and Television UK Four Nations Mentoring Scheme wrapping up for 2026, we place a spotlight on the local north of England cohort members taking the next step in their career.

Liverpool-born screenwriter, playwright and producer, Helen Blakeman is a seasoned storyteller whose career spans acclaimed theatre, BAFTA winning television and international animation. She joined this year’s cohort at an extremely exciting time in her professional life, having just co-founded her own production company, Title Page Films last year, and her latest animated project, ‘Lucy Lost’, selected for Cannes and Annecy International Animation Film Festivals.

looks at one of Liverpool City Region’s finest homes and grandest filming locations, Knowsley Hall. 🏰

A magnificent stately home set within a private walled estate, the ancestral home of the Earls of Derby has offered a perfect backdrop for both contemporary and period productions, featuring in the likes of The Ipcress File, Peaky Blinders, Fackham Hall, Brassic and Stay Close.📺

Offering privacy, versatility and flexibility, the Hall and its estate has been a mainstay for productions looking for a touch of grandeur in the region, its historic architectural details, sweeping staircase and expansive grounds offering filmmakers an authentic and highly versatile backdrop fit for film, tv and commercials.
