We're counting down to St Brigid's Arms...just 30 days to go! 🍀

What does it mean to be Irish away from Ireland? How is cultural identity shaped and passed between generations? And am I Irish enough?

St Brigid's Arms brings together the voices of women of Irish heritage from across the north of England in an immersive exhibition, sharing their stories, memories and experiences in their own words.

Join us from 3 October as the gallery is transformed into a fictional Irish pub and family home, celebrating community, creativity and connection.

One of our favourite things to see is visitors getting creative!

Inspired by the animals featured in our Audubon exhibition, a visitor recently spent time sketching a bird during their visit – and what a fabulous drawing it is!

The sketching desk in our Audubon gallery is ready and waiting for the next budding artist!

We love seeing the different ways visitors connect with our collections 😊
