Meet Karl and Rachel, personal travel consultants powered by Not Just Travel.

They are volunteers at our Wednesday support group, who also run a fantastic, bespoke travel consultancy. 🏝️

As partners of Sunflowers, they have created a system where they donate a percentage of the commission from every trip booked which mentions Sunflowers.

This is a fantastic partnership opportunity for Sunflowers, for our service users, and also for Karl and Rachel’s social responsibility. 🌻

If you would like to find out more about our partnerships, or how to book a trip through Karl and Rachel, head to the link in bio or get in touch!

A new support group is coming to Liverpool Sunflowers - Together v Cancer. 🌻

It is a support group for members of the LGBTQIA community who live with, or are impacted by someone who lives with cancer and other long term illnesses.

It will be a relaxed space, where people can come together for a brew and some cake, and a relaxed natter. No formalities, and no pressure to join in, just a safe space to be with others who may be experiencing similar things.

It will be run by Debbie, one of our volunteer counsellors - watch the video to find out a little more.

📅 First meeting: Saturday 26th September
⏰ 10am–12 noon
📍 Sunflowers, 21 Aigburth Road, Liverpool

We are delighted to announce that this weekend, the National Garden Scheme is raising money for us at Sefton Park Gardens! 🌻

It is a wonderful initiative and the scheme has donated almost £78 million to some of the UK’s best-loved nursing and health, and gardening charities since 1927. 🏡

To find out more about gardens you can visit near us in Liverpool (or around the country), take a look at the NGS website.

Thank you for all your support. 🫶

TW: themes of mental health and su***de.

Yinka is the lead counsellor at Sunflowers, and he is a huge advocate for supporting men’s mental health.

In Autumn 2026 he will be introducing a men’s support group, which will be a dedicated space for men who want regular support, where they can talk and be listened to, and encouraged to support themselves and each other.

Watch to find out more about why men benefit from talking therapy, and how it can get them on a path where they can fully be their authentic self.

If you, or someone you care about, could benefit from counselling support or coming along to the support group at Sunflowers, reach out to find out more. 🌻

A huge thank you to Paul Mooney for abseiling Anfield stadium on 4th July to raise money for Sunflowers! 🫶

He raised an incredible £880 for us, which goes towards supporting local people with long-term illnesses, through exercise classes, support groups, counselling support and complementary therapies. 🌻

Paul shared a clip of the abseil for those who aren’t scared of heights, take a watch! 🫣
