“I just never switch off…”

For many parents and carers, caring responsibilities continue long after the school run, appointments or working day ends.

Caring can feel constant, but you do not have to manage everything alone.

Support is available to help parent carers feel recognised, connected and supported.

Every day, we meet people who need support, guidance, or simply someone to point them in the right direction.

The figures in this post reflect the dedication of our team, the strength of our partnerships, and the trust placed in us by the communities we serve.

We’re proud of the difference being made 💙

📢 Knowsley Council has organised an in-person event at MYA Our Place, Longview Drive in Huyton on Wednesday 10 June from 5.30pm until 8pm for young people aged 11-18 years (up to 25 with SEND) to share their views about support and services delivered through Knowsley Council across the borough.

💻 If you are a part of a youth group interesting in attending, please register, but individual young people can just drop in.

🗨️ Whether it’s comments about youth services, emotional and mental health support, youth engagement and participation generally or you’d just like to listen to the discussions, please come along.

🥤 Food and drinks will be provided. Plus, there’s prizes to be won!

🚗 If you need help with getting to and from the Our Place, that can be arranged as well – WhatsApp Gina at MYA on 07759 706882

⚠️ Your views really do matter and can make a difference so please do come along and help to inform local services and support – now and in the future.

“I just help out a bit…”
That’s how caring often starts.

A quick visit.
A phone call.
Helping somebody through the day.

Over time, those small things can become a huge responsibility.

If this sounds like you, you might be a carer.

💙 You do not have to do it alone.

A huge thank you to Independent Age () and the Opening Doors Project () for having us involved in such a brilliant day in Fazakerley.

It was great to be part of an event focused on bringing people together, creating connections and making sure support is visible and accessible within the community. We’re proud to feature in this video and even prouder to work alongside organisations making a real difference locally. 🤝
