This video is from our final day of rehearsals in Dreghorn Barracks of our Annual Deployment Exercise 7 August 2026.

We are in Multi Terrain Pattern uniform (MTP) but with ceremonial headgear on. Odd you may think but there is a logical reason for doing this.

When we would perform this display we would be in full ceremonial dress. So we needed to run the final rehearsal for the new marching display to test the practicalities of doing the display with helmets on. There is a big difference from wearing a berry on rehearsals to wearing helmets.

Mission complete and we are good to go!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

It features Musn Alex H on flugel horn and is called Children of Sanchez.

We are positive you will love this?

Well it’s Monday and the second week of our Annual Deployment Exercise in Edinburgh.

Everyone is excited to march into the week in double time (twice as fast!) with a sense of fun, an appetite for hard work and a strong sense of comradeship.

In this live feed you can see the band falling in for Muster Parade at 08:30. A Muster Parade is where the welfare of individuals is checked and all personnel are accounted for, alongside turnout and bearing and giving instructions for the day ahead.

Even the Drum Major seems excited for a new week of drill, you can hear it in his voice!

Video intended as light humour and we hope all our followers have a great week!

What an amazing way to end the week of hard work in the rehearsal room with a concert at Royal Scots Cub Community Gardens . A lovely peaceful setting in the heart Edinburgh where many, many people came to enjoy our musical performance, truly brillante!

The Director of Music Captain Dario Salvi shaped the musical performance through his well travelled baton, ably supported by Cpl Dave S conducting and as MC. Other MCs, included Musicians Charlie C and Alex H who both played solos on bass and flugel horn.

Alongside great solos there was Crown Imperial, Post Horn features, bagpipes tunes, to hits of Broadway and popular classical repertoire, oh and military marches that highlighted our Corps of Drums. You may notice the odd cello too making an appearance under the bow of LCpl Joe B who was very cellaxed!

We will be in concert again next Friday 7 Aug 2026 @ 7pm at Hawick Town Hall, a free concert with no tickets required.
