We were proud to attend today's Virtual School Conference, centred on the powerful theme “Leading Through Relationships: Belonging, Influence & Impact.”

It was an inspiring day hearing from keynote speakers Dr Lisa Cherry, Stephen Russell and Mark Finnis, all highlighting how everyday relationships and connections can create life-changing outcomes for children.

Stephen Russell’s message about the ‘Power of One’ illustrated the life changing impact just one person can have in a child’s life.

Dr Lisa Cherry’s moving reflection on the “in-between space” – a transitional phase where many of our children are unsure of their sense of identity, safety and belonging - truly resonated with the vital role foster carers play every day: offering stability, kindness and hope when it’s needed most.

“May you offer steadiness when the ground shifts… may your presence be a light… to hold space is to hold hope.”

This message captures exactly what fostering is all about. 💙

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time to step forward and help change a child’s story.

Yesterday, we were proud to welcome foster carers to the Palm House for our annual celebration event.

As our Corporate Director of Children’s Services, Jenny Glennard, shares in this reel, this event is about recognising foster carers for going the extra mile — and taking time to say something that really matters you are valued here in Liverpool.

It was a lovely opportunity to pause, reflect, and say thank you to carers whose dedication, care and commitment continue to change children’s lives. From providing stability through difficult times to creating safe, loving homes where children can thrive, the impact of our foster carers is life changing.

Hearing the nominations read aloud brought those stories to life, reminding us just how much difference foster carers make every single day. We look forward to welcoming more foster carers to next year’s event!

To all our foster carers — you deserve to be celebrated, appreciated and treated with the recognition you give to our children and young people. 💙

We were delighted to come together with our fostering families at Clubmoor & Croxteth Childrens Centre at the end of Foster Care Fortnight 2026 💙

The morning was filled with light hearted fun, including quiz questions, bingo, plenty of cake and refreshments—alongside lots of opportunity to catch up, share experiences and enjoy time together.

It was wonderful to see foster carers connecting, supporting one another and taking a well earned moment to relax, with some lucky winners taking home raffle prizes and our bingo prize 🎁

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a special celebration of our fostering community 💙
