A huge thank you to everyone who has made our open day so special on Friday, we loved seeing each and every one of you there.

Please keep your eyes peeled on our upcoming posts this week whilst we thank the people who have given their time to entertain you, and see where you can find them coming up.

We have also found 2 ID cards, please contact us via messenger if you believe you’ve lost them.

Also we will be announcing the winners of our competitions and sharing pictures of the event.

🚨 THINK BIKE. SAVE A LIFE. 🏍️🚴

Following a number of recent road traffic collisions in our local area, we’d like to remind everyone to take a little extra care when they’re out on the roads.

A quick glance in your mirrors, looking twice at junctions, and giving vulnerable road users plenty of space can make all the difference.

Let’s all do our part to keep Cornwall’s roads safe.

Please take a moment to think before you pull out, turn, or overtake.

Liskeard Community Fire Station is hosting an Open Day in support of The Fire Fighters Charity, we’d love to see you there! No entry fee or tickets required.

Bring the whole family along for an afternoon and evening of fun, including:

⚠️ Tombstoning Can Cost Lives ⚠️

Today, whilst responding to an unrelated incident at Gold Diggings Quarry, Purple Watch witnessed several people tombstoning into the water. 🟣

While it may seem like harmless fun, tombstoning is extremely dangerous. Hidden rocks, shallow water, submerged objects, and cold-water shock can all result in serious injury or death.

Please think twice before jumping and help keep yourself and others safe around open water.💧🏊🏽‍♂️

Today we say a fond farewell to Watch Manager Pete Jefford as he retires after 27 years of service, having started his career in Hampshire, before joining Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.

From all of us on Purple Watch, thank you for your leadership, support, friendship and the many laughs along the way. It has been a privilege to serve alongside you. 💜

Congratulations on a well-earned retirement, Pete. We wish you all the very best for the future – you’ll be greatly missed by us all at Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service 🚒
