❤️ Meet your local Community Fire Service and get information for a free home Fire Safety check

💚 Meet your Tri-Service Safety Officers an find out about the role they have in our community

💙 Meet your local PCSO’s and discuss any local Policing concerns and the children can do their Finger Prints and get stickers

🖤 Meet our Anti-Social Behaviour Officer from Cornwall Council and discuss any ASB concerns.

You will also be able to have a look around the some of the vehicles we use and have a look at what we carry inside the vehicles for the different incidents we attend all whilst having a chat and getting to know the Emergency Service Teams working in your community to keep you all safe 🤍

👩‍🚒🟣 Today Purple Watch have carried out ladder and water relay drills, utilising all three appliances on station. Our new water carrier was used as the base pump to test its water delivery capabilities. 🚒

🚒☕ Brew with a Crew – Community Coffee Morning

On Wednesday 8th April, from 10:00–14:00, Purple Watch will be hosting Brew with a Crew — a friendly coffee morning giving us the chance to engage with our local community.

We'll also be joined by our colleagues from the Police, and will be happy to chat about all things fire safety, community safety, and the work we do locally.

Today is National No Smoking Day🚭

Accidental fires started by ci******es kill more people than any other fire.

- Never smoke in bed
- Use a proper ash tray, made from material that won't burn
- Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of children

This week we took delivery of our new Water Carrier, capable of delivering 8,000 litres of water to support firefighting operations 🚒

After a week of training, the appliance is now officially on the run and ready to respond to incidents across the county 🚒💧

Roads and public transport remain disrupted this morning as we deal with the aftermath of Storm Goretti.

Please avoid travelling if you can. If you do need to make a journey, check routes and travel operators in advance, as many bus and rail services are cancelled or running with delays.

A large number of roads are still closed due to fallen trees, downed power lines and debris. Our teams are working around the clock to clear them, and we ask that you give crews the space they need to carry out urgent repairs safely.

Liskeard is currently under a yellow warning for wind from 3pm today until 8am Friday.

✅ Only travel if absolutely essential - If you have to drive, reduce your speed
✅ Secure loose items outdoors, such as bins and trampolines
✅ Avoid coastal areas

A big thanks to Liskeard Lions Club for our festive treats! 🚒🎄

Over the last few days, our Lions have been out and about presenting our local emergency heroes with chocolates to help them through the Christmas period. We are incredibly thankful for the work they do. A special thank you to the firefighters for sending this photo.
