Massive thank you to Queen's University Belfast for the donation of office furniture to Habitat ReStore last month. All products in every ReStore are donated by companies, groups or individuals who want to help improve their community, the environment and lives of families in need.
As we celebrate , we are thankful that organisations like Queen's University continue to partner with ReStore to build sustainable communities.
Alastair McBurnie, Estates Manager at Queen's University Belfast, said "We are delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity through the donation of office furniture and equipment that is no longer required at Queen's. By providing items such as storage units, chairs, tables and bookcases to ReStore, we can help generate valuable income for the charity while ensuring that these items remain in use for as long as possible. This is a practical example of how Queen's is embedding circular economy principles into everyday decision-making, reducing waste, extending the life of valuable resources, and delivering positive social and environmental benefits for the wider community."
