What a fabulous afternoon of fun we had yesterday. Liphook Day Centre did Ladies Day at the Races, complete with fabulous hats, races, yay or neigh quiz and lots of laughing. A special thank you must go out to our volunteer, Wendy Karban , who made it all happen. Brilliant, silly fun!

🌟 New Half Day Sessions at Liphook Day Centre 🌟

We are pleased to introduce a new half day option at Liphook Day Centre for anyone who would enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal, friendly company and a chance to join in activities — without needing to stay all day.

Choose from:
🕙 10am – 1pm
or
🕛 12pm – 3pm

Each session includes:
🍽️ A two-course cooked lunch
☕ Tea, coffee and cakes/biscuits
🎨 Optional activities, games and crafts
Cost for the half day is £14.00 per person (including all food, drinks & activities)

Activities vary throughout the week and may include:
🧘 Armchair yoga
💃 Armchair dancing
🎲 Games, quizzes and bingo
🎨 Crafts with our wonderful volunteers
👧 Visits from local school children for games and activities

This new option may suit those who prefer a shorter visit, would like companionship over lunchtime, or are looking for a more affordable way to attend the Day Centre.

Some of our more-creative ladies have been decorating hats for a day of fun next week. We will be holding the Liphook Day Centre Ascot-style Ladies Day on Wednesday, complete with horse racing games and (of course) fabulous hats!

Well, the weather may not have been what we ordered, but we had a lovely time at the Picnic on the Green on Sunday. We loved meeting so many new people and are really grateful for the support (with chocolate and bottle donations and so many people taking part!). We raised a whopping £340.00 for Liphook Day Centre (that's a lot of people wanting to win chocolate or bottles😉!). Same again next year - but we'll order some sunshine for next time.

Something new for us today. Chair Yoga by Ros Monday, who has kindly agreed to visit us once a week to get our limbs moving, our muscles stretching and our bodies strengthening. The session was really enjoyed by all.

Looking for a friendly place to spend the day, have a laugh, and meet new people?

At Liphook Day Centre, there’s always something going on—whether it’s crafts, quizzes, singing, gentle exercise, or just a good chat over tea. We’re a welcoming group aged 70–99 who come together for friendship, fun, and a change of scenery.

We also have lovely visitors popping in regularly, including therapy dogs, local school children, musicians, and dancers—so no two days are ever the same!

If you (or someone you know) would enjoy a warm, social environment and a bit more company during the week, we’d love to welcome you.
