Join Us at Our Next Friendly Faces Event! 😊☕
We're delighted to invite you to our next Friendly Faces gathering this Thursday at Jubilee Hall from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.
Friendly Faces is a welcoming initiative designed to bring our community closer together. Residents of all ages are warmly invited to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of conversation, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits, and a selection of games.
Whether you'd like to meet new people, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy some good company, this is the perfect opportunity to connect in a warm, friendly, and inclusive environment.

We’d love to let residents know about a very special fundraiser taking place at Jubilee Hall on Sunday 13th September, from 10am–1pm.
Katie is bravely battling stage 4 bowel cancer, and vital funds are being raised to help her access pioneering treatment in Germany.
Please come along, enjoy some coffee and cake, and show your support for Katie and her family.

The schools have broken up for summer, so why not think ahead a reserve a place for your child at our Street Dance Workshop!

Heighington Parish Council is inviting the village’s young people to get active and have fun this summer with a free Street Dance Workshop at Jubilee Hall on Wednesday 12 August.
Run by Rhythm in Movement Dance Company, the sessions will give children the chance to learn exciting new moves and enjoy a morning of music and energy with friends. Two age-group sessions are available: 10am–11am for ages 4–6, and 11.15am–1pm for ages 7 and over. Spaces are limited, so parents are encouraged to contact the parish office early to reserve a place. 🚲 A road safety reminder for parents and children

We would like to make parents aware of a concerning issue that has recently been brought to our attention. Children have been seen cycling through the cut-through from Daniel Crescent to Washingborough Road, failing to dismount at the gate and continuing straight out onto Washingborough Road — potentially into the path of oncoming traffic.
We are incredibly fortunate that there has not been a serious accident.
Please be reminded that there is signage at both ends of this public footpath indicating that it is not for use by bicycles. This is in place for the safety of all users and to help prevent accidents.
If your children cycle in this area, please take a few minutes to talk with them about the importance of being aware, following signage, and staying safe when cycling around the village. A simple conversation could help prevent a serious incident.

Could you spare some wool to help A Good Yarn keep the knitted tree looking its best?
Donations of acrylic wool, in shades of green or Christmas colours would be great to help repair and maintain the tree. Any donations can be dropped off at the parish office Monday - Thurs 9-1pm, thank you!
