Lincoln & District Model Engineering Society Ltd The Lincoln and District Model Engineering Society Ltd meet monthly in Lincoln. Our working party meets weekly at the Railway site (currently Thursday).

LDMES operates a Miniature Railway in North Scarle, Lincolnshire running every other Sunday throughout the Summer 9am - 12pm, beginning 26th April to 13th September We also have regular running days for our miniature railway in North Scarle (every other Sunday). Fantastic day at the car boot on Sunday - weather brilliant and lots of people around snapping up bargains. The railway ran two trains and was circling the track almost non stop. Let's hope that we have more of this in the months to come. Next car boot on 7th June.

LDMES are always helping to keep the playing field in good order. Recently a bench was donated to the Village Hall Charity. Simon and Tony created a concrete plinth for the bench and bolted it down to prevent its "unauthorised removal."

This year we're making a determined effort to smarten up the railway infrastructure. Terry and Lawrence have, amongst other things, been replacing the wood in the doors at the ends of the tunnel which as you can see had seriously degraded (left hand replaced, right hand still to be done)
