Our 1,845 staff help thousands of people in Lincolnshire every day. 🗓️With the August Bank Holiday coming up, it's important to be prepared. Here's what you need to know:

👩‍⚕️GP practices will largely be closed on Monday 31st August but the NHS is still here for you, if you need medical advice, please call 111 or visit 111 online. For life-threatening emergencies, ring 999.
💊Some community pharmacies will be open over the bank holiday, please check our website for bank holiday pharmacy opening hours.
🏥Our Urgent Treatment Centres are open 8am-8pm over the bank holiday and can treat you for a range of urgent care needs, without the long wait at A&E.
📲Urgent mental health support is available 24/7 through NHS 111 'choose option 2'.

Friends and Family Test: retrospective patient feedback

We have restarted our collection of Friends and Family Test (FFT) feedback from patients following a gap in provision during the migration to our new service provider, Civica.
To help us understand our patients’ experiences during this period and fill some of the gap in our data, we will be sending retrospective text messages to some patients who had a hospital or community service interaction between 1 January and 23 June 2026.

Patients may receive a text asking about their most recent experience of one or more of the following, where applicable:

A&E
Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)
Community hospitals
Community services
Inpatient stay
Outpatient appointment
Day case visit

Patients will only be contacted once for each type of visit. The text will make clear which experience we are asking them about, and we will ask them to think about their most recent visit of that type.

We appreciate that, depending on how long ago the interaction took place, some patients may not remember their experience. There is no obligation to respond, and patients can simply choose not to provide feedback if they don’t wish to.

The feedback we receive will help us build a more complete picture of patient experience during the period when our usual FFT collection was unavailable.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding and support while we work to address this gap in our patient experience data.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) will be holding their Annual Public Meetings (APMs) on Monday 21 September 2026.

These will take place as a single meeting, held virtually via Microsoft Teams from 12.30pm-1.30pm, receiving the LCHS Annual Report and Accounts for 2025/26 first, followed immediately by receiving the ULTH Annual Report and Accounts 2025/26.

Everyone is welcome to find out more about the work of the two trusts, and our challenges and achievements during 2025/2026.

There will also be a chance to ask questions of the leadership of both Trusts- the Board of Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG)- about items on the agenda.

⛈️A Yellow National Severe Weather Warning for thunderstorms is in effect across the East Midlands from 3AM to 10PM on Wednesday 26 August.

Heavy showers could lead to localised surface water flooding with chances of hail and lightning. This could cause:
💧Chance of damage to buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail and strong winds
🚏Delays and cancellations to public transport services
