Arrest - Laughton Way, Lincoln

We were called at 1.45pm today, Wednesday 10 June, to Laughton Way, Lincoln following reports of a man exposing himself outside of the Lady of Lincoln Catholic Primary School.

Officers attended and have arrested a 47 year-old man for an offence of outraging public decency; he remains in custody.

As this is an active investigation we clearly ask for people not to speculate as this may harm any investigation or any appeal for witnesses that may be necessary. For the same reason we have turned off our comments.

Lincoln Police officers are working in partnership with local retailers to curb shoplifting and anti-social behaviour in the north of the city!

The Lincoln North Shop Watch is a project that aims to unite retailers by keeping them in contact with other stores as well as local police officers. Each store that chooses to opt into the scheme commits to the purchase of a radio, which can be used to instantly alert police of any unfolding shoplifting or ASB incidents. It can also be used by the retailers to warn other stores of known shoplifters that have been seen in the area.

Additionally, member shops will also receive alerts direct from the police when shoplifting suspects are identified and when banning notices are given.

Inspector Dan Gilmore, Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for the north of the city, said: "By getting the shops to work together there is a feeling of community between those retailers and a shared purpose in reducing crime and improving conditions on the ground for staff."

We are appealing for information after a report of a robbery on an 11 year-old-boy in Lincoln.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 8:45pm and 8:55pm in the Swift Gardens area of Lincoln on 24th May 2026.

We would like to speak to a boy with brown hair and a thin build.

He is described as wearing a blue shirt at the time of the incident.

We would also like to speak to an accompanying boy, who was dressed entirely in black and wearing a black jacket.

James Bowskill, aged 29, has been charged with eleven offences of fraud by false representation.

It’s alleged that Bowskill approaches people in Lincoln city centre, often young women on their own, and claims that he has lost his bank card but needs to get to Sheffield to see his child. It’s reported that Bowskill promises to transfer money back, often a larger amount, and that this money is not received.

Bowskill, of Belmont Street, Lincoln, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court for a first hearing today (22 May) where he was remanded into custody.

We are appealing for information after the report of a s*xual assault on a boy* in Lincoln.
The incident is thought to have taken place sometime between 6.10pm and 6.20pm in the Macauley Drive area of the city on 27 April.
Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward – any detail, no matter how big or small, could prove invaluable to our enquiries.
We’d like to speak a woman with tanned skin, who stands at around 5ft 3 inches tall.
She is of medium build with long black hair and was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white jeans, and had a silver chain around her neck.

What a celebration! Incredible turnout for a fantastic parade. Hey Lincoln! Just a final reminder, it's going to be BUSY today. 2.30-4pm, an open top bus parade will tour Lincoln to celebrate their league win and promotion. If you are joining the celebration we will be right there with you with officers (some of them armed), police vehicles and drones. This is all part of the plan to keep the city safe.

This is the route for Saturday 9 May open top bus parade to celebrate Lincoln City FC league win and promotion. We expect Lincoln to be very busy so if you are not joining the celebration, you might prefer to avoid Lincoln for the afternoon.

If you are coming along please arrive early, consider public transport (car parks will be busy), respect the barriers that are there for your safety, and follow instructions from stewards and officers. There will be plenty of us there keep this event safe so please speak to us if you see anything suspicious or of concern.
