The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team 2026: As May comes to a close, a quick look back to the moment earlier in the month when the Red Arrows gained Public Display Authority (PDA) ahead of the summer’s programme of events.

PDA is an annual assessment and marks the start of the season. It follows the months of preparation required to perform a new aerobatic show, which was seen by UK audiences for the first time this weekend.

👀 Are you hoping to spot the Red Arrows on our transit flights between airshow events in 2026? With the UK season now underway, here’s a handy reminder for those wanting to catch a glimpse of the jets as the team heads across the country:

🔴 NOTAMs - detailing location way points and navigation details - are only intended for other air users.

⚪️ However, these are sometimes shared online by unofficial sites under the banner “where to see the Red Arrows”.

🔵 The way point locations listed are not to be confused with planned flypasts, appearances or displays. These official public events are listed on our website and are the best opportunities to see the Red Arrows perform.

🔴 The Red Arrows do not always transit at low level heights and people may be disappointed if they go to these way point locations expecting to see the aircraft.

⚪️ All flying is subject to change due to operational factors, such as weather, and these details are not always able to be communicated publicly at such short notice.

🔵 If you do spot the team’s jets and can safely and responsibly get a picture - please do share with us online using . We do love to see your images and thank you for your enthusiastic support!

January ☑️ As we enter February, looking back at a month when the weather wasn’t always our friend!

Several days of poor conditions at our home of RAF Waddington meant far fewer opportunities to carry out formation flying than we would have liked.

But on the rare occasions when there were clear skies, we made gradual progress preparing for the summer season.
