EDIT - This has been resolved. Please remain vigilant around the area.

⚠️ Warning – Wasps Nest on the Community Field ⚠️

Please take care if you're visiting the community field today.

A wasps' nest has been disturbed after being accidentally run over by a lawnmower, and the wasps are currently very aggressive. 🐝

For everyone's safety, please avoid the affected area while we put measures in place to deal with the nest safely.

Photo with the cone is to indicate Locality.

We'll provide an update as soon as the area is safe to use again. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

🌳👏 A huge THANK YOU to the fantastic volunteers from the Lincolnshire County Council Highways Team who rolled up their sleeves and spent the day helping out at the Community Park! 👏🌳

What a difference a day makes!

The team have been incredibly busy:
🎨 Giving the lock-up a fresh coat of paint
🚪 Painting the main gate and fence
🦔 Creating a dead hedge along the roadside to discourage shortcuts through the park while providing valuable habitat for wildlife
🌱 Mulching around our fruit trees with bark chippings
🌳 Strimming back overgrown areas in the orchard

And as if that wasn't enough, our grass-cutting team also visited today, leaving the park looking absolutely superb! 🌼☀️

Community spaces thrive because of people who are willing to give their time and energy, and today's volunteers have made a real difference. We hope everyone enjoys the improvements and joins us in thanking the team for their hard work.

It's lovely to see the wildflowers popping up in the orchard and the fruit trees coming into blossom 🌸🌿 It’s turning into such a beautiful community space…
