P2JW have settled back to school really well and have been enjoying our Core Book ‘Elmer’. We have been designing our own patchwork elephants in art, using the iPads and in the Fishmongers’ Trail. We have also been enjoying playing with our friends and completing our activities. We are looking forward to lots of fun and learning throughout the year.😊🌳🐘

🌟Welcome to Primary One!🌟

We have been so excited to welcome all of the new Primary One pupils into our school. We are so proud of how wonderfully they have settled into our school and we love to see their happy faces each morning. The children have been so busy playing, learning and meeting new friends and this week they visited the school canteen which was very exciting. We are so excited for a fantastic year of fun and learning in Primary One!🙂

Congratulations to past pupil Kelly! A great achievement!⚽️

Congratulations to our LHS pupil, Kelly, who has been selected to represent the Northern Ireland Women's U16 team. She will be involved in a double-header against Wales next week, which is a tremendous achievement and a testament to her hard work, dedication and talent.

On behalf of everyone at Limavady High School, we would like to wish her every success in both matches. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and look forward to following her progress and cheering her on as she represents Northern Ireland! 👏🏼⚽️

🍎Back to School🍎
We are excited to welcome all pupils in P2-7 back to school tomorrow morning
Don’t forget to call into the foyer to take a ‘Back to School’ photo

We can’t wait to meet our nursery and primary 1 pupils also (everyone has their own start time)
Pupils in Primary 2 will stay until 2pm and Primary 3-7 will be in until 3pm (Primary 3 go home at 2pm on Fridays)

We also welcome pupils into our brand new classroom ‘The Nest’ 🪺

🧮 Developing Confident Mathematicians

Today, all of our staff took part in training on the effective use of Rekenrek racks to support the teaching of early number skills.

The training provided lots of practical ideas for helping our pupils develop strong number sense, mental maths strategies and a deeper understanding of number.

We’re looking forward to putting our new learning into practice in the classroom 🤩

⭐️Well Done⭐️
A massive well done to Cahan who played in Croke Park at the weekend during the Half Time Semi Finals. Cahan was chosen for this special honour as he came second overall in the Boys Football Annual Skills test.
What an achievement! Well done Cahan!
