For the gardeners of the village

Free compost available in Beacon Park 🌳

Free compost made from our parks’ grass cuttings and green waste is now on offer to community groups and gardeners who can use it.

The environmentally friendly, sustainable matter is perfect for adding to gardens to improve moisture retention and soil structure and biodiversity benefits. It can also be mixed with soil to make wholesome potting compost.

If you’d be interested in using some for your gardens, contact us on [email protected] or phone 01543 308867 to discuss and arrange free collection from Beacon Park.

**ROAD CLOSURE NOTIFICATION**

We have been contacted by HS2- Balfour Beatty with a Notice of temporary overnight closures on A38 northbound and southbound carriageways.

Location Northbound closures:
A38 Cappers Lane exit to Hilliard’s Cross

Southbound closures:
A38 Streethay exit to Swinfen exit

Duration:
Four overnight closures on the northbound and southbound
carriageways from 9pm to 5am on
Monday 23 March 2026
to
Thursday 26 March 2026

HS2 will be undertaking maintenance of the CCTV systems on the carriageway and preparatory works for the full 11-day closures.

Expect four overnight closures on the northbound and
southbound carriageways.

Huge congratulations to the first female and male Fradley residents to cross the finish line this morning 🎉

Two very surprised runners each received a bottle of champagne from the event organisers and from Fradley Parish Council they received a trophy and a £50 voucher.

Our thanks go the amazing team at Events and everyone who joined the fun this morning.
