Friends of Lewes The Friends of Lewes is the civic society of the historic town of Lewes, East Sussex, UK.

Our constitutional aims are to stimulate public interest in the beauty, history and character of the town of Lewes and its surrounding area; and to organise concerted action for protecting and enhancing the townscape and for preserving free access to the surrounding area.

Lewes Tree Festival 2026!
🌳Join the Trees Committee of Friends of Lewes at Lewes Climate Hub on Saturday 13th June, 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., to find out about our new "Special Tree Project" - to celebrate the trees in our Arboretum Town!
🐝Learn which trees you could choose to plant to benefit wildlife.
🌳Have a look at the range of trees that are recommended for planting - and thriving - on our chalky soils
👣Pick up a tree trail leaflet to guide you on a gentle walk around some of our favourite trees. It might inspire you to photograph a tree that you think is special and send it to us!
❓Ask other members of Friends of Lewes Committees about the voluntary work that they do to keep our town special!
🌼Make or buy a woodcraft flower with Rustic Tim - Rustic Tim and Sons. Ruitic Wood Craft. Small charge of £2 per flower.
🍵Enjoy refreshments while you browse the range of Friends of Lewes merchandise and membership opportunities.

We are celebrating our Arboretum Town on Saturday 13th June, 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. at Lewes Climate Hub, Lewes House, 32 High Street - to launch Lewes Tree Festival 2026!
