I was proud to host an event in Parliament last week on contemporary school meals, highlighting practical ways to give our children the healthy, nutritious food they need🍽️

This coincides with new standards being proposed by the government on school food. These would cut out sugary sweets and drinks and limit the amount of deep fried and processed meals, while increasing the amount of fruit, vegetables and wholegrains in school meals🍎🥦🥕

3 out of 4 parents say that they have concerns about their children's nutrition and 8 out of 10 think school food needs to be improved.
