I intend to restore her to how she looked and operated in 1945, perhaps with some modern twists.

Saving a piece of Shetland’s heritage

Dagmar was built in North-a-voe, Yell, Shetland in 1945 by Johnny Smith (Johnny o da park)(A well known and respected proffesional boat builder). Since then she has been a regular sight around Shetland and She may now be the oldest surviving carvel built Shetland boat in excistence. I am planning to restore her to her original condition and get her sailing again.
