Inspired by the widest dress in the National Trust's collection, embroider your own motif, drawn from the incredible court mantua which belonged to Ann Harley in the 18th-century, first lady of Berrington Hall.

Guided by expert tuition, this workshop encourages you to explore decorative embroidery techniques and learn how to build pattern, texture and detail.

🏵This is a one time only event, before the dress goes off display for vital conservation work.

🌹17 September, 10.30am-3.30pm with a 1 hour break.

Despite the change in weather, our boating team are still operating and the lake is as beautiful as ever. We’re continuing to run sessions for now, so don’t miss your last opportunity to enjoy a peaceful trip on the water.

The vintage pop bookstall is getting ready to welcome supporters! Join us from 29–31 August, 10am–4.30pm, and have a browse to see if any of these treasures catch your eye.

The second hand bookshop team have put together a specially curated collection of rare and vintage books, with plenty to discover for book lovers and collectors alike.

A huge thank you to the bookshop team, and to everyone who has generously donated books to help support our bookshops and the National Trust’s special places.
